Making Better Than New

One of our favorite phrases we hear from customers when they pick up a repair is, “This looks better than it did new!” We take pride in making jewelry better every time. Recently we were given an opportunity to really make a piece better than before.

Making Better Than New Jewelers

This Tiffany and Co. Eternity band was stretched out of shape and cut off a finger atthe ER when one of the kids tried it on for fun and it wouldn'tcome off. Our guest wanted it sized up and the damage hidden, then asked if there was a way to add any stones. We suggested adding a bar to remove the damaged area then allow us to size up, and bright set family birthstones in the bar creating a one of a kind mothers ring.

We started with rounding out the ring and cleaning up the damaged edges. We then soldiered a solid bar of silver to the perfect size and measured out where to place the gems. Using hand engravers we slowly cut away the metal until it created a “seat" for the stones and finished with milgrain. The end result came out fantastic
